Villupuram District, Vikravandi Assembly Constituency By-election 2024 Voting was completed in 276 polling centers on 10th. Following this, the electronic voting machines were kept in the security room set up at Panaiyapuram Government High School, the counting centre.
Following this, tomorrow (July 13) the counting of votes for the Vikravandi assembly constituency by-election will start at 08.00 am. First, the counting of postal votes will be followed by the counting of votes cast in electronic voting machines. The counting will be done in 20 rounds in 14 tables.
There will be 1 supervisor, 1 assistant and 1 observer per table and counting of postal votes will be held at 02 tables. In this, 1 supervisor, 1 assistant and 1 observer per table, 14 village assistants, district officials, deputy district officials and other employees for the work of transporting the electronic voting machines from the security room to the counting area, a total of 150 people have been appointed for the counting work.
Also, on the day of counting of votes, 1195 constables and 24 central sub-constables will be engaged in security work at Panaiyapuram Government High School, the counting centre. There is also a three-tier security system.
