Cut the sickle to the brothers; The Serkazhi Police, who acted lazily, changed the cage

Mayiladuthurai SP Meena has issued an action order by transferring 7 policemen including the inspector of Sirkazhi police station to work with a cage for acting laxly in the incidents of sickle-cutting attacks on brothers at 3 places in Sirkazhi in one day.

On June 27, Madan of Iyanar Koil Street was attacked by a mysterious gang with weapons like iron rod and sickle on Sikari South Road in Sirkazhi, Mayiladuthurai District.

Similarly, Madan’s brothers Manikandan and Suresh were attacked by mysterious gangs armed with sickles and iron rods at different locations on the same day.

The Sirkazhi police have registered a case and are investigating the attack. Subsequently, on June 29, the police arrested 4 persons namely Vignesh, Puranach Chandran, Courtaleeswaran and Vinodkumar in connection with this case.

Also, while searching for the people involved in this case, the police arrested both Arun and Senthil from Iyanar Koil Street.

In relation to this case, the police of Sirkazhi Police Station have acted laxly, Mayiladuthurai District Superintendent of Police Meena has ordered the transfer of 7 policemen including the inspector of Sirkazhi Police Station.

Inspector Sivakumar of Sirkazhi Police Station has been transferred to the Armed Forces, Assistant Inspector Ashokumar has been transferred to Courtalam Police Station and Assistant Police Inspector Srinivasan has been transferred to the District Crime Branch. He has also ordered the transfer of Special Assistant Inspectors Satish Kumar, Rajathi, Head Constable Kulothungan and Constable Augustin to Sandalmedu Police Station.
