12– 2nd reading debate on Public Financial Management, Economic Transition Bills July 25
Debate on the House adjournment motion on “Impact of Artificial Intelligence on National Security, All Religions and Culture of the Country and Immediate Actions” has been reserved for July 24 in Parliament.
Parliamentary Secretary General Kushani Rohanadira said that it has been decided in the Committee on Parliamentary Affairs held yesterday (18) under the chairmanship of Sabanayagar Mahinda Yappa Abeywardhana to conduct the second assessment debate on the Public Finance Management Bill and the Economic Transition Bill on the 25th.
For this purpose, the Parliament will meet from the 23rd to the 26th.
Tuesday 23rd July:
- 9.30 AM to 10.30 AM Time for Oral Answer Questions
- 10.30 AM to 5.00 PM Debate on two regulations under the Civil Procedure (Amendment) (Second Estimate) Bill and the Judiciary Bill
- 5.00 PM to 5.30 PM Debate on Adjournment of House brought by Opposition
Wednesday 24th July:
- 9.3 AM to 10.30 PM Time for Oral Answer Questions
- 10.30 AM to 5.30 PM Debate on House Adjournment Motion on “Impact of Artificial Intelligence on National Security, All Religions and Culture of the Country and Actions to be taken immediately” by Member of Parliament Mathura Vidhanake
Thursday 25th July:
- From 9.30 AM to 5.30 PM, a second assessment debate will be held on the Public Finance Management Bill and the Economic Transition Bill. It was also decided not to allocate time for oral questions on the day in order to provide more time for the discussion. Also, it has been decided not to reserve time for questions during the adjournment of the House.
Friday 26th July:
- From 9.30 am to 5.30 pm late former Members of Parliament A.H.M. Alavi, M.N. Parliamentary Secretary General said that it was also decided here to set aside time for compassionate motions related to Abdul Majeed, Palitha Devarappuram and Milroy Fernandu.
