Chennai: Heavy rain will occur in 15 districts of Tamil Nadu today according to Meteorological Department.
An atmospheric low circulation prevails over the Gulf of Mannar and the adjoining Kumari Sea and southeast coastal areas.
Due to this, light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning and gusty winds (40 kmph to 50 kmph) are expected at many places in Tamil Nadu, Puduwai and Karaikal.
Heavy to very heavy rain
Coimbatore, Theni, Nilgiris, Dindigul, Tenkasi, Tirunelveli and Kanyakumari districts are likely to witness heavy to very heavy rains.
Heavy to very heavy rain
Thoothukudi, Virudhunagar, Madurai, Tirupur and Erode districts are likely to receive heavy to very heavy rains.
Heavy rain in 15 districts
Heavy rain is likely in 15 districts of Ramanathapuram, Sivagangai, Pudukottai, Thanjavur, Thiruvarur, Nagapattinam, Mayiladuthurai, Cuddalore, Salem, Dharmapuri, Krishnagiri, Tirupattur, Namakkal, Karur and Tiruchirappalli.
