Introducing ‘Circle to Search’ feature for Chrome users: How to use it?

Google is going to introduce ‘Circle to Search’ feature for Chrome desktop users to improve its user experience. If you don’t know the details of an item, or the details of an image, it’s best to circle and search for it.

Google is reportedly gearing up to roll out its innovative “Circle to Search” feature to Chrome desktop users. This feature was popularized by the latest Samsung S24 series. This AI-powered feature allows users to search for content by hovering over it on the screen.

In this case, Google Chrome is going to update the Lens in its browser and update it with Circle to Search feature. This update introduces a feature like “Circle to Search” on Android devices.

Chrome’s Google Lens UI will feature a new animation that resembles the circle-to-search experience on Android. It builds on previous changes to Chrome’s lens functionality, such as adding screenshot blur and a lens icon that tracks your cursor.

Despite expectations about this update, Freeform gives users a rectangular selection rather than a circular one to highlight content on the desktop.
