Following this, Telugu Desam Party leader Chandrababu Naidu was sworn in as Andhra Chief Minister. The swearing-in ceremony was held on the 12th. Janasena leader Pawan Kalyan has been sworn in as the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. The YSR Congress party suffered a crushing defeat in the recent elections.
The party won only 11 of the 175 assembly constituencies contested. In this case, the members who won the Andhra Assembly elections took office as MLAs yesterday. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, who came to the Andhra Legislative Assembly, prostrated himself at the entrance gate of the Assembly.
Chandrababu Naidu, who had said during the last Jagan Mohan Reddy’s regime that he would step into the assembly as the chief minister, has again stepped into the assembly as the chief minister. YSR Congress leader Jaganmohan Reddy also took office as a member of the assembly.
