Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin has written a letter to DMK youth workers.
In this regard, he wrote to the DMK youth, “DMK Youth is now entering its 45th year after 44 years. The ‘Gopalapuram Youth DMK’, started by leader M.K.Stalin in a barber’s shop in Gopalapuram, became the official youth team in Madurai Jhansi Rani Park in 1980. Stalin, who was appointed as Youth Secretary by M. Karunanidhi in 1982, made Ilajanarani a strong and dynamic team. Anpagam, the headquarters of Ilajarani, was also taken over by the team.
Whether it was to bring the achievements of the Karunanidhi regime to the people or to oppose the anti-people trend of the ruling party as an opposition party, the youth team continued to stand in the forefront. After Stalin took over as the DMK’s working president, Vellakoil Saminathan served as the youth secretary. In this case, following the victory in the 2019 parliamentary elections, I assumed responsibility as the Youth Secretary on July 4. We enrolled 25 lakh new youth members in the club. We conducted training workshops for the members at district level.
We drained the waters and took up protest activities ranging from the protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act to the signature movement to abolish the NEET exam. We also took part in the Corona relief work and wiped out the suffering of the people. This year we held the 2nd Youth Team State Conference in Salem with great success. Leader Stalin’s guidance and the enthusiasm and cooperation of the youth team mates made this possible. We are gearing up for the works including the Artist Centenary Talk Competition, Dravida Model Training Workshops. Although the work done by the youth team is many, there are many tasks waiting to be done.
Tamil Nadu is the premier state in the three-year Dravidian model rule. On the one hand, the fascist forces are waiting to disrupt this development, divide the people, seek political gain through religious and caste fanaticism. On the other hand, DMK and Dravidian movement pioneers are waiting for the Dravidian model government with only the opposition of DMK as their primary target and those who want to bring down DMK by spreading slander and false news.
But, we are waiting for the 2026 Assembly elections. Under the leadership of the leader who is accumulating successive victories, he should win the assembly elections in 2026, the DMK regime should be re-established and Tamil Nadu should develop further. It is the young woman’s responsibility to fulfill this duty. We will make a commitment to break the conspiracies and establish a record reign again in 2026 at the 45th anniversary of the youth team,” he said.
