USA: A small piece of space debris has landed on a house in Florida, USA. The roof of the house has collapsed.
Because of this, the family who lived in that house has requested 80,000 US dollars from NASA. The incident was reported by law firm Cranfield Sumner to AFP.
In the statement, “On March 8, a 700-gram object struck a house in Naples, Florida. Also, due to this, there is a big hole in the roof of the house.
NASA later confirmed that Athan was part of a cargo of used batteries released as waste from the International Space Station (ISS) in 2021.
Instead of burning up completely before falling to Earth, a portion of it fell unburnt onto the house, NASA added. said in the report.
Otero’s son, the owner of the house, was in the house when the incident took place. They said that no one was injured.
Because of this, Otero’s family has requested US space agency NASA to pay $80,000. Also, it is expected that NASA will respond soon.
