According to this report, three-quarters of actresses in Malayalam have been subjected to sexual harassment. In that way, an actress named Sri Lekha Mitra from West Bengal had filed a complaint against famous Malayalam director Ranjith.
Similarly, an actress named Revathi Sampath filed a sexual complaint against the General Secretary of the Actors’ Association Siddiqui. Following this, Siddiqui resigned from his post. Complaints have been raised against each actor one after the other.

There are reports that mainly ten actors who are top actors in Malayalam are involved in sexual harassment. No details about who it is are yet to be released.
In this situation, the leading actor of Malayalam, Mohanlal, who came from the role of the president of the Malayalam Actors Association, has resigned from his post. Apart from him, 17 key executives of the Actors Guild have resigned together.
