The new BSA Gold Star Classic bike will be released on August 15

Mahindra Group Company which acquired BSA:

Last year in 2021, Classic Legends, one of the Mahindra Group companies from India, bought this BSA Motorcycles company and started manufacturing bikes again. The company started selling bikes again in other country’s automobile markets. Currently, the company is planning to launch the new BSA Gold Star bike model in India on August 15th.

Recently, this bike is actor Kamal’s favorite bike Abbas on his Instagram page He posted a video. In that video, he mentioned that this bike is Kamal’s favorite bike and he thinks he still has a similar bike.

A rival to the Interceptor?

Well, let’s see what features this BSA Gold Star bike has. First of all, this bike is a natural competitor to the Royal Enfield Interceptor which is sold in India. Yes, the Gold Star is currently being sold in the UK as a competitor to the Interceptor.

BSA Gold Star Design:

Taking the design of the new Gold Star bike, it has to be said that they have recreated the old bike. The new bike has the same design as the Gold Star bike sold in the 1960s and 70s. However, this Gold Star is modern only in terms of comfort and safety features.

The BSA Gold Star gets the latest modern body and suspension setups like tubular steel dual grace frame, 41mm telescopic fork, twin rear shock absorbers.

BSA Gold Star Engine:

The bike is powered by a 652cc, liquid cooled, single cylinder engine that churns out 45hp of power and 55Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch.

The bike has single disc brakes on both the wheels and ABS as standard. Additional features include Brembo calipers, engine immobilizer and a USB port.

BSA Gold Star Price:

The BSA Gold Star is priced between £6,500 and £7,000 (Rs 6.88 lakh to Rs 7.41 lakh in India) in the UK.

Its rival, the Royal Enfield Interceptor, is priced between £6,400 and £6,900 in the UK.

Although the Indian price is high, the Gold Star bike is expected to be launched in India at an ex-showroom price of Rs 3.5 lakh as it will be manufactured locally. This is Rs 20,000 more than the Interceptor’s price in India.
