National Institute of Technology (NIT) Tiruchirappalli has been ranked fourth in the Architecture category of the National Institute Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2023. However, the engineering category is ranked 9th in 2023 compared to 8th in 2022.
Despite the decline in engineering rankings, NIT Trichy improved its NIRF position for Architecture, Management and Research in 2023 and retained its 21st position in the overall category, same as the previous year, i.e. 2022.
According to the official website, NIT Trichy achieved 24th position in the QS World Ranking for India in 2023 and 281st position in the QS Asian University Rankings.
However, it is not listed in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings Global Rankings and NIRF Innovation Category Rankings Domestic Rankings.
