It is raining especially in Avadi, Poontamalli, Meenjoor, Thiruvekadu, Sembarambakkam and other areas.

Due to this heavy rain there has been power cut in some places in Ambattur. Also, it is raining in Kanchipuram district Sriperumbudur, Chungwarchatram and Irunkattukot areas. Rains are widespread in Sipkot region, Oragadam and its surrounding areas.
Due to this rain, the roads were flooded and motorists suffered.

Also, due to heavy rain, the planes were unable to land at the Chennai airport and were circling in the sky for a long time.
Also, the Indigo flight from Coimbatore and the Abu Dhabi flight were turned back after failing to land.
