The Tamil Nadu government has been implementing the Artist Women’s Entitlement Scheme since September last year, which provides Rs 1,000 per month to female heads of households in their bank accounts. In its election manifesto, the DMK had announced that entitlements would be given to all heads of households.
Women’s Entitlement Scheme!
But after coming to power, due to poor financial condition, it was decided to give only one crore women and the economic qualifications were limited. Tamil Nadu government ordered to provide all the eligible people as many people came in the merit list after crossing one crore.
Increase in users!
First one crore 6 lakh 52 thousand people were given. In the following months, the number of users increased and about one crore and 15 lakh people joined as users. On July 15, another 1 lakh 48 thousand people were connected.
One crore 17 lakh people
While there are about 2 crore 24 lakh family cards in Tamil Nadu, only about 1 crore 17 lakh people have been given the right amount, so those who have not received the right amount are angry. During the Lok Sabha election campaign, people openly showed this displeasure with the DMK.
Political commentators comment!
The party leadership was confident that the entitlement recipients and their families would take a pro-DMK stand. Even if the DMK gets support in that way, there is a possibility of people turning against the DMK as half of them do not get the rightful amount, political commentators said then.
KKSSR Ramachandran
Now the DMK minister himself has said that he could not deal with this opposition. Minister KKSSR Ramachandran has spoken at a program held in Tenkasi that the government is being brutal after providing the women’s rights amount and escaping from women who do not pay a thousand rupees is a big problem.
School Education Program
Tenkasi District ECE Government Boys Higher Secondary School Assembly Hall organized a program to distribute portable laptops to primary and middle school teachers on behalf of the school education department. Revenue and Disaster Management Minister KKSSR Ramachandran, who participated in the event, distributed portable laptops to more than 900 teachers.
The Tamil Nadu government sings!
Following this, the minister said at the ceremony, “Tamil government has no money, so we are doing nothing but giving the women’s rights amount of Rs. 1000. As far as Tamil Nadu is concerned, Rs 1000 has been given to one crore 15 lakh girls.
Women’s rights amount is a lot of money!
Women who have received a thousand do not open their mouths. A few girls who don’t buy it is a big deal to run away from our sleeping bottle. Rural women are in advance. They are also asking for the Ariyar amount which was not given to them,” he said.
