57The 150th Level IV Wood Medal High Quality Course will be held from 02nd to tomorrow 08th at Nuwara Eliya Peter Scout Camp.
The course will be conducted for the training of 47 less qualified teachers representing all the districts nationwide under the guidance of the Chief Scout Commissioner of Sri Lanka Scout Association, Mr. Janaprith Fernando, and under the guidance of the National Training Commissioner, Colonel Padmalal Perera.
TK Irwin Aruthantha and AVJ Singh were the first Sri Lankan wood medal winners. Since then, Wood Medallion courses have been held continuously at Peter Scout Camp, Nuwara Eliya and Lee Dasanayake Scout Camp, Meerigam.
Accordingly, the 100th Scout Wood Medal Training Course was held at the Nuwara Eliya Pitru Camp and the 150th Wood Medal High Course started on the 02nd and will be held at the same camp on the 08th.
