369A passenger bus collided with a lorry carrying cement at Madabai and Dumkukulam on the Silapam-Colombo main road.
According to the police, 27 people were injured in the accident which took place at 9.15 am today (04), and they have been admitted to Halavathi and Madabai hospitals.
It has been revealed that the accident took place when an EPO bus belonging to Halawatha Depot, which was traveling from Colombo to Silapam through Church Junction, lost control of its speed and collided with a cement lorry which was traveling from Puttalam Cement Factory to Colombo.
The bus was heavily damaged in the accident.
