3rd umpire gave out to Jadeja for breaking the rules; This is the reason!-oneindia news

Chennai Super Kings all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja will play MA in the IPL 2024 match against Rajasthan Royals on Sunday. Chidambaram was strangely sent off at the stadium by the third umpire after he was adjudged to be ‘obstructing the field’.

Chennai won the match between Rajasthan and Chennai by 5 wickets.

Jadeja scored four runs off six balls as Chennai chased down a match-low score of 142. Next in Avesh Khan’s over, Jadeja tried to get the second run off the shot.

Ruduraj Gaekwad at the other end refused to take a run when Jadeja was in the middle of the pitch. Jadeja was then caught by a throw from Rajasthan wicketkeeper Sanju Samson, but the ball fell to Jadeja. Sanju Samson immediately appealed.

The on-field umpires then referred the decision to the third umpire. TV umpire Anil Chaudhary felt that Jadeja had clearly seen the ball before it got to the throw line as he tried to crease. Coincidentally, Jadeja was also running through the batting strip in the middle. Jadeja was dismissed as the umpire believed he had seen the ball coming.
