Spicy foods
Spicy foods in general are not good for gut health. Do not eat spicy foods especially in the morning on an empty stomach.
Consuming spicy foods with lots of spices on an empty stomach can affect the digestive system. As it is high in catechins which increase heat in the body, it can trigger problems like severe stomach pain, heartburn and acidity.
Drinking tea and coffee
Tea and coffee are the first drinks that most of us drink when we wake up in the morning. But never drink tea or coffee in the morning on an empty stomach.
When caffeine is taken on an empty stomach, it increases acidity in the gut.
Adding milk and sugar to it can irritate the lining of the stomach.
Likewise, carbonated drinks should not be taken on an empty stomach. These can cause inflammation in the stomach.
Cereal varieties and pastry varieties
In the rush of work, many of us eat ready-made cereals in milk for breakfast.
Ready-made cereals available in stores have added sugar.
It is best to avoid such refined carbohydrates altogether. Especially in the morning should not be taken on an empty stomach.
Fruit juices
This is the most important thing to know. It is very good to have fruit juices in the morning meal. We think it’s healthy.
But fruit juices should not be taken in breakfast. Fruit juices should not be consumed especially on an empty stomach.
Fruit juices are high in sugar. So it is better to avoid drinking fruit juices and take fruits directly. Fibers are available whole or can be taken in smoothies.
Fried foods
Puri and urad vada are the favorite food of many people for breakfast. Add potato masala to it.
Fried and fried foods are very high in trans fat. Eating it first thing in the morning on an empty stomach can adversely affect the digestive system.
