Kerala Election 2024: In the state of Kerala The Election Commission informed that 70.21% votes were cast.

Voting was held in 88 constituencies in 13 states and union territories, including Kerala and Karnataka, in the second phase of the Lok Sabha elections.

Out of which, polling was held in one phase yesterday for all 20 constituencies in Kerala. In this, the Election Commission informed that 70.21% votes were registered there. It is said that only 72.70% votes have been recorded in the Wayanad constituency where Rahul Gandhi is contesting.

Of the 2,77,49,159 voters in Kerala, 1,43,33,499 are women and more than 5 lakh are first-time voters. A total of 30,238 electronic voting machines were used for them in 20 constituencies.

Out of total 194 candidates, 169 are male and 25 are female. Out of which, maximum 14 candidates contested in Kottayam constituency, while five candidates contested in Alatur constituency. Also, 13 people competed in Kozhikode and 12 each in Kollam and Kannur.

Voting was held in 20 constituencies in Kerala namely Thiruvananthapuram, Attingal, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Mavelikkara, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam, Chalakudy, Thrissur, Alatur, Palakkad, Ponnani, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Vadakara, Kozhikode and Kannur.
