In April, the first month of the financial year 2024-25, Hero has sold a total of 5,33,585 two-wheelers. This includes exported two-wheelers. However, Honda sold 5,41,946 two-wheelers in April last year, surpassing Hero for the first time.
This is a growth of 34.7% for Hero and 45% for Honda compared to April last year. Overall, Honda is the number one. But if we exclude exports and take India alone, Koluchi still comes as a hero.
Yes, Hero sold 5,13,296 two-wheelers in India alone last April. Export volume was just 20,289. However, Honda exported 60,900 two-wheelers last April. The company has sold 4,81,046 two-wheelers in India.
Honda’s export volume has grown by 67% compared to April last year. Hero has exported 20,289 two-wheelers in April last year, compared to 9,923 units in April last year.
Also, Honda has reached a new milestone of selling 8 million two-wheelers in Eastern India. The company has achieved this milestone with sales across Bihar, Jharkhand, Orissa, West Bengal and East India.
Hero has recently started deliveries of the Maverick 440 model, which is based on the engine used in Harley Davidson’s X440 bike. It is noteworthy that Hero launched this bike in India last February.
