Fleeing abroad?
A case of sexual assault was registered against Prajwal Revanna based on a complaint filed by a 25-year-old woman. Fearing that he would be arrested, Prajwal went into hiding. A case has been registered against him and his close aide Satish Papanna on the complaint of kidnapping of women. Both were accused of kidnapping Revanna’s son Prajwal, a former housekeeper, for exposing sexual allegations against Revanna.
The woman’s son complained
Her son HD Revanna and his close aide Satish had filed a complaint against the girl on the 29th. It stated that the woman had worked at Devanathan’s house for about five years and had quit three years ago. In this case, Revanna’s son said in the complaint that on April 26th, Satish, Revanna’s assistant, took his mother and she came home the same day, but Revanna’s husband again took his mother on April 29th, but after that her mother did not come home.
For filing a complaint against the son
Revanna allegedly abducted the girl with her men after she lodged a complaint against her son. After that, the police rescued the woman who was locked in a farmhouse belonging to Revanna’s friend Rajasekar. In this regard Revanna and Satish were booked under 4 sections including kidnapping of women. Revanna filed a petition seeking an interim injunction against his arrest in the woman kidnapping case.
Action arrest today
After the local court dismissed the plea, the Special Investigation Team police arrested Revanna from her house today. While a lookout notice has been issued against Prajwal Revanna, the arrest of his father and MLA Revanna by the Special Investigation Committee has created a stir. It is said that this issue will cause a setback to the JDS party when the polling for the remaining 14 Lok Sabha constituencies in Karnataka is going to be held on the 7th.
