Bomb threat to 8 hospitals in Delhi; Police are actively investigating-oneindia news

At least eight hospitals, including Burari Hospital and Sanjay Gandhi Hospital in Delhi, received bomb threats via email on Sunday afternoon.

“A hospital in North Delhi’s Burari received a bomb threat letter. A bomb disposal team is on the scene. Nothing suspicious was found,” DCP (North) Manoj Meena said.

Burari Hospital Managing Director Dr Ashish Goyal received the threat around 3 pm. “I can access hospital email on my phone. The email said a bomb had been placed at the hospital. I informed the police as soon as I saw it and it turned out to be a hoax. The police are investigating the matter,” said Ashish Goyal.

Earlier this month, more than 150 schools received bomb threat letters. Even as Delhi Police officials and Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) teams rushed to the spot, the incident sent schools home and sparked panic among parents. After thorough testing, it was declared a hoax.
