Chennai : The Chennai Meteorological Department has informed that there is a possibility of heavy rain in 11 districts today.
Chennai Meteorological Center has informed that there is a possibility of heavy rain in 11 districts of Tamil Nadu today and very heavy rain is possible in 3 districts. Accordingly, Kanyakumari, Tirunelveli and Tenkasi districts will receive heavy to very heavy rain at a few places.
The Chennai Meteorological Department also reported heavy rain at one or two places in Nilgiris, Dindigul, Theni, hilly areas of Coimbatore district, Tirupur, Virudhunagar, Madurai, Sivagangai, Ramanathapuram, Thoothukudi and Pudukottai districts.
Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning and gusty winds (30 kmph to 40 kmph) may occur at many places in Tamil Nadu, Puduwai and Karaikal tomorrow. Heavy to very heavy rain at one or two places in Tenkasi, Theni and Dindigul districts and heavy rain at one or two places in Kanyakumari, Tirunelveli, Tuticorin, Virudhunagar, Madurai, Tirupur, Coimbatore, Nilgiris, Erode, Salem, Dharmapuri, Krishnagiri and Tirupattur districts.
As for Chennai, the sky will be generally cloudy for the next 24 hours. A few parts of the city are likely to experience moderate rain with thunder and lightning. The Chennai Meteorological Department has informed that the maximum temperature will be around 32 to 33 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature will be around 26 to 27 degrees Celsius.
