Interested in becoming a teacher? School Education Department approval for admission of D.Ted students

The Tamil Nadu School Education Department has issued an order giving permission to conduct the admission of students for D.Ted (D.Ted) which helps to work in schools.

To work in primary schools in Tamil Nadu, one must have completed a D.D.E.T. In this situation, the school education department has given permission for the D.Ted course for this year. So those who want to study this D.Ted course can take advantage of this opportunity to join the course.
In this regard, Tamil Nadu School Education Department Secretary Kumaraguruparan has said in an order:

There are 1,740 seats available for Diploma in Elementary Education in 26 Government Teacher Training Institutes in Tamil Nadu. Similarly, there are 980 seats in 12 government-aided teacher training institutes and 1,450 seats in 24 private teacher training institutes. Of these, the Director of the State Educational Research and Training Center had sent a proposal to the government seeking permission to admit students for the academic year 2024-25.

Apart from that, permission is given by the Government of Tamil Nadu to conduct the admission of students for Diploma in Elementary Education following the relevant guidelines. Accordingly, applications for admission to D.Ted courses should be received online by 30th May and consideration of the same should be completed by 3rd June.

Also, the students will be selected on June 7 on the basis of marks and caste. After that the classes will start on 14th June. Following this, teaching exercises for students will be conducted in the months of August and November. Also, the general examination will be held in the months of June and May.

Apart from this, if it is not filled within the time limit set by the government, the principals of the respective teacher training institutes can fill it directly through immediate admission. Likewise, work has been carried out to increase the enrollment of D.Ted students this year.

Accordingly, the first year admission will be conducted a month earlier in June itself. Accordingly the academic year for this course will be conducted from June to May next year. However, as usual, the academic year for 2nd year students is from July to June. This is stated in the decree issued by the Secretary of the School Education Department, Kumaraguruparan.
