I thought of leaving the film industry after Roja: This is the reason; Open minded AR Rahman-oneindia news

Even abroad, Even when abroad, Fans are among the legions, AR Rahman, At the Cannes Film Festival,A documentary he made about the musical renaissance Headhunting to beatboxingAfter releasing the first look poster of the film in Nagaland, He met the Indian Express reporter.

In this brief conversation, Rahman does not allow his awareness of his star status to be distracted by the many people trying to get his attention at the moment, He is completely unchanged. His commitment to documentary film, He also spoke about his undying passion for different styles of music and his desire to take Indian music to the worldMr.

What made you interested in Nagaland??

I have always had a soft corner in the North East

How did interest in this area come about??

India is very diverse. Kerala is very different. Andhra is different. Punjab, So is the state of Bengal. You go to Nagaland, oh god, It must be said that this is also India. I have heard stories about Nagaland, It’s beautiful, My friends said you should check it out. Then I got a call from Hornbill Festival, I will go there and tell you, It is very beautiful, I’m thinking of maybe even living here.

So you go to each location before taking a picture? For exampleRoseDid you go to Kashmir??

No, We were told it was not safe. But music (Rose‘, 1993) Indian film music revolutionized the world.

RoseDid you ever think it would be so grand??

All I know is that this will be my last film. I do my best, From that movie I wanted to leave.

Why so?

I have said this many times before. The film industry was different at that time. It’s old fashioned, Old school. The advertising industry was new and cool. My thing is that I will do this one film, Because I am 1982 I am in the first advertising department. But then things changed, I didn’t know I would be part of the change, The way music is made, Recorded.

Sometimes they are looking for a change in the room, They also say that you don’t know that you are the change (laughs). 20-30 When people have been saying it for years, Do you realize it yourself??.

Yes, We (ManirathnamRoja and RahmanDirector) We changed everything. How Western ideas were adopted in music, The way we make music. It caused a stir in Bollywood. That changed me too. differently, At the time, My passion for Hindustani music was more than Carnatic music, I found beauty in North Indian ragas, In this Desh, I used pilu.

‘RoseAfter the film Bombay‘, ‘Dil SeAbout the films?

Yes, Trilogy. If you look at all my interviews, I have repeatedly said that I do not want to be known as a South Indian Tamil composer. I felt we were undermining our music. And that our music should be around the world, I also wanted us to feel good about our music. (Western music) as we listen, We wanted them to hear ours.

Sometimes you express something, It will happen for many years. What is your reason for moving out of India??

Boredom! Not really, The West has always been in my consciousness when it comes to music. When Shekhar Kapoor spoke about me to Andrew Weber, Does he (the latter) have a story for me?? In that question, the culture and humanity that has been observed for years come togetherBombay Dreams(Music produced by Weber composed by Rahman on a Bollywood background).

Mani Ratnam sir, you always tell stories, The song started, Then the interlude, Then tell some other story.. If so, are we going to see those elements in the documentary??

Yes, Diversity appeals to me, Not just a style. There’s a guy with a guitar, He makes you cry, You know. I played a record (guitar).when,  People said they had never heard anything with such beautiful innocence. I always wanted to go Hollywood standard, in music To showcase the best of India. I want to have a Hollywood-style concert.

So what are the plans for the film??

Some bits and pieces are still to be completed. Then we will go to the festival, There is already a lot of interest in it.
