Mahindra is gearing up to launch the Thar Armada model soon. Mahindra is going to launch the 5-door Thar model under the name Thar Armada. Earlier, it was reported that the top end model of this Armada model will be provided with dual pane sunroof facility. But now it has been reported that the Thar Armada model will be released with the facility of panoramic sunroof.
Mahindra Thar Armada: First time panoramic sunroof
This is the first time in India that a model with a Ladar frame chassis is offered with a panoramic sunroof. The panoramic sunroof facility is expected to be offered on the top-end variants of the Thar Armada. Armada’s mid-range variants are expected to feature a single-pane sunroof. Because the Thar Armada model with a single pane sunroof has already been spotted in spy shots.
Mahindra Thar Armada: What else is new?
Apart from this, it has been reported that the new Thar Armada model will also come with secondary ADAS safety features. Secondary ADAS features like Lane Keep Assist, Blind Spot Monitoring, Forward Collision Avoidance and Assistance will be offered on the new 5-door model. Along with the above facilities, many more ADAS facilities are also expected to be provided.
Mahindra Thar Armada: What other features?
Apart from these safety features, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment display, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and full LED lighting will be offered. Three different wheel options will also be offered on the new Tar Armada. The entry-level variants will be offered with steel wheels, intermediate variants with alloy wheels and high-end variants with diamond cut alloy wheels.
Mahindra Thar Armada: Engine Choices
Mahindra will offer three engine options for the new Thar Armada. 1.5-litre diesel engine in entry-level variants. 2.2-litre diesel and 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine options will be offered for the mid-range and top-end variants. The larger engine is likely to get all-wheel drive while the smaller engine will get rear-wheel drive.
Mahindra Thar Armada: Release Date?
Mahindra has not made any official announcement regarding the launch of this new 5-door Thar Armada. However, it is said that the company may release it in August. Upon launch, the Mahindra Thar Armada will compete with lifestyle SUVs such as the Force Gurkha 5-Door and the Maruti Suzuki Jimny. Pricing is also expected to be slightly higher than the current 3-door model.
