Two people in the doctor’s family are infected
Disease outbreaks occur during seasonal changes. A 46-year-old doctor from Pune and his 15-year-old daughter were found to be infected with the Zika virus when problems such as cold, fever and cough were increasing due to the recent seasonal change.

Zika is a type of virus. The disease caused by this virus is called Zika virus fever.
The Aedes mosquito responsible for the spread of dengue is responsible for the spread of this Zika virus. If pregnant women are infected with this Zika virus, the infection is bad enough to affect the unborn child as well.
How is it spread?
Zika virus is spread by mosquitoes. It has the risk of causing serious harm to pregnant women.
The Zika virus can live in body fluids for a week to a month after infection. So there is a chance of transmission even if you have sexual contact with an infected person
It can also spread from one infected person to another through blood transfusions.
What are the symptoms?
Many people infected with the Zika virus have no symptoms in the early stages. In fact only 1 in 5 infected people develop symptoms. Those symptoms are as follows…

- Red eyes,
- Red itchy rashes appear on the skin.
