Ducati has launched a new bike model DesertX Discovery. The DesertX Discovery bike model is another variant of the already sold DesertX and DesertX Rally. The DesertX Discovery has been introduced as a bike suitable for touring and off-road adventurers, with additional features added to the features offered in the previous variants.
The new DesertX Discovery bike model has a unique design in black and red. A touring windscreen has been newly provided to reduce the rider’s discomfort during the bike ride. A center stand is also provided. This is helpful for park and bike maintenance. Ducati has developed this new variant with touring in mind, with an aluminum case for extra storage and a subframe for extra support.
New features include turn-by-turn navigation. This is very useful during long distance journeys. A pull bar to protect the fuel tank and water pump, a radiator guard to protect the radiator and a bash plate to protect the engine are provided. Heated grips are provided to make riding a little more luxurious during the colder times.
The DesertX Discovery variant is powered by the same 937cc DeStretta engine that powers the other variants of the DesertX. This engine is capable of producing 108hp of power and 92Nm of torque. The bike is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with Ducati Quick Shift. This quick shift feature makes gear shifting a bit smoother. A slipper clutch is also provided to prevent wheel spin during aggressive down shifting.
