India-Singapore Ministerial Conference on August 25

A round table conference involving high level ministers of India and Singapore is going to be held on August 25. The three Ministers of External Affairs, Finance and Commerce will participate in this conference and MoUs will be signed on the agreed matters.

India-Singapore officials have said that agreements can be signed in many important sectors including food security and digitization, and have mentioned that arrangements have been made for Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to attend the event.

The BIMSTEC conference will be held in Thailand on September 04. It is reported that Prime Minister Modi will travel to Singapore before going to participate in the conference.

An India-Singapore Round Table Conference has been set up in New Delhi in 2022 to further develop the existing friendship and cooperation between India and Singapore in new and emerging fields. Ministers of External Affairs, Finance and Commerce participated in the conference.

During it, many sectors including digital connectivity, green economy, skill development, food production were discussed. Based on that, the officials said that MoUs can be signed during the talks on the 25th.
