A high voltage tower in Kollid tipped over at 1am due to rising water velocity!

One lakh 20 thousand cubic feet of water is being released from the Mettur dam due to continuous heavy rains in the Cauvery catchment area. 1 lakh 20 thousand cubic feet of water is coming to Mukkombu Melange in Trichy district.

In this case, there was a landslide near the Napier Bridge in the Kollid River and a barrage was built on the side of the bridge to prevent the bridge from collapsing. In this situation, due to excessive water coming in Kollidam river, a part of the barrage has broken up to about 200 meters.

In the last moment, the high voltage tower fell into the water around one o’clock in the middle of the night as the speed of the water could not stand.
