Chennai: 18 people were killed and 4 injured when a pickup truck overturned in Kawartha district of Chhattisgarh.
The accident took place early this morning when Tendu was returning home after plucking leaves. After the district officials were informed about the accident, rescue teams immediately rushed to the spot.
After this, the injured have been taken to nearby hospitals for treatment. Also, Deputy Chief Minister Arun Chau expressed his grief through his X website regarding this incident.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the vehicle may have lost control and overturned due to high speed. However, the police are actively investigating to find out the exact reason for this.
