State Minister Sisira Jayakodi who further commented here,

Currently, there is economic instability in our country amid various conflict situations at the international level. At the same time, everyone should remember that a stable country can only be built by building a stable economic system. To build national security, the country and the economy must be stable.

Therefore, it should also be noted that people should think about the future of their children and the future of the country and take decisions to succeed as a country.

The cabinet has given approval to provide additional service allowance, which was given only to Malayalam doctors, to government Ayurvedic doctors. For more than 18 years, Ayurvedic doctors have been making this claim on many occasions. Therefore, special thanks must be given to President Ranil Wickramasinghe for allowing the request to be fulfilled.

This allowance will be paid out of the funds earmarked for the Ministry of Health so as not to burden the Ministry of Finance. This can be termed as a victory for the government’s Ayurvedic doctors.

Also, applications for registration of traditional healers have been requested from last July 31. 712 applications in this regard have been received so far. Meanwhile, various rumors are spreading that the registration of traditional healers has been temporarily suspended. But all arrangements are being made to conduct the exam for them in the next few weeks.” State Minister for Indigenous Medicine Sisira Jayakodi said.
