Ampere company has launched their new Nexus electric scooter in India. Earlier, the company was selling electric scooters like Primus, Zeal, Reo and Magnus, but now it has released a new electric scooter called Nexus. Also, this is the most expensive scooter in Ampere’s electric scooter lineup.
The Nexus is a production variant of the NXG concept model that the company showcased at the 2023 Auto Expo. With powerful performance, Ampere has developed this electric scooter with a focus on family use.
With a 3kWh LFP battery, the new Nexus electric scooter has a range of 136km. With the help of the 4kWh electric motor it is equipped with, it has a maximum speed of 93 kmph. The company has said that this electric scooter can be charged in 3.5 hours.
This electric scooter has got two different display options – 6.2 inch LCD display or 7 inch color touchscreen display. This display can be operated using the switchgear provided on either side of the handlebar. Equipped with full LED lighting, the Nexus is also Bluetooth enabled.
Along with hill hold facility and 5 riding modes, the Nexus gets a conventional telescopic fork suspension at the front and a shock absorber suspension setup at the rear. Also, this electric scooter has 12-inch wheels and is equipped with a disc brake at the front and a drum brake at the rear.
Launched in four colors – Zansquar Aqua, Lunar White, Steel Gray and Indian Red – the Nexus 6.2-inch LCD display variant is priced at Rs 1.1 lakh ex-showroom and the 7-inch color touchscreen display variant is priced at Rs 1.2 lakh ex-showroom. .
However, these are only the starting prices, Ampere has also informed that they are going to increase the price up to Rs.10,000. However, the company did not specify when. Currently the bookings for this electric scooter are open and the deliveries are going to start by the end of May.
