The municipal commissioner has announced that the AFT ground will serve as a temporary bus station from the 16th due to the construction of the Bolivuru city project at Puducherry’s new bus station.
In a press release issued by Puducherry Municipal Commissioner Kandasamy, “Construction work is going on rapidly at Puducherry Bus Station under the Bolivuru City Project. Accordingly, a decision has been taken in a consultative meeting to temporarily relocate the bus station to AFT Ground.
Basic facilities for passengers such as drinking water, toilets, restrooms etc. AFT is being set up quickly at the ground and parking is prohibited on both sides of the road from the Martyr Venkatasubba Reddyar statue on the Cuddalore road.
Therefore, for the next short period till the construction work of Puducherry Bus Station is completed, all route buses will be operated from the temporary bus stand set up at AFT ground. From the 16th, passengers should use the bus stand at the AFT ground,” it said.
