Delhi : In the first session of the 18th Lok Sabha yesterday and today, the event of taking office of new MPs is taking place. In today’s event, all 40 MPs from Tamil Nadu and Puducherry are taking office one after the other. All of them are taking oath in Tamil.
Madhya Pradesh DMK MP Dayanithi Maran after taking oath in Tamil and assuming office, shouted that the NEET exam should be cancelled. Later Tamilachi Thangapandian and DR Balu also took oath in Tamil and accepted the post.
Vellore Constituency DMK MP Kathir Anand after taking oath in Tamil chanted “Long live Thalapathy Patiyar and our future is Udayanidhi”. Next Tiruvallur Congress MP Sasikanth after taking oath in Tamil shouted to stop the attack on Dalits and minorities.
After taking the oath of office in Tamil, Visika MP Ravikumar chanted Hajwa Ambedkar, Hajwa Periyar, Hajwa Eruchi Tamilar. After swearing in Tamil, Vishik President Thirumavalavan chanted Long Live Indian Constitution, Long Live National Unity.
Also, while taking oath of office of other DMK MPs, some took the oath mentioning the name of former Chief Minister Karunanidhi, the name of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K.Stal and the name of Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin. Tamil Nadu MPs mostly take oath in Tamil.
