After 17 years, the Indian cricket team won the ICC T20 World Cup trophy on Saturday after defeating South Africa. Many celebrities have been congratulating the Indian team on social media. Anushka Sharma shared a heartwarming post on Instagram congratulating her husband and star cricketer Virat Kohli.
He also shared about his daughter Vamika.
In the post, Anushka said that when Team India was emotional after winning the trophy, leaving many players in tears, Wamika was worried if there were any players to give her a warm hug at such an emotional time.
In her post, she wrote, “Our daughter’s biggest concern is having someone to give all the players a big hug after watching them cry on TV…..yes, my dear, 1.5 billion people have given them a big hug. What an amazing win and what a legendary feat!! “Champions – Congratulations”.
In her next post, Anushka Sharma shared a photo of Virat Kohli and expressed her love for the cricketer. In the post, “I love this man (Virat Kohli). I am so grateful to call you my beloved home.”
After India’s big win, cameras were also caught in a video call with Anushka Sharma, who was not at the stadium to support Virat Kohli. In the photos, the cricketer can be seen celebrating the win with his family and making funny faces during the video, perhaps trying to make Wamika laugh.
Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma got married in 2017 and welcomed their first daughter in 2021. They welcomed their son Akai in 2024.
