Aavadi Police Commissionerate, Gangster Act, K.Shankar, 114 persons, Central Aavadi Police Commissionerate arrested 114 criminals under the Gangster Act XIV under Detention Act.
As a measure to control crime incidents in Avadi Police Commissionerate, on the order of Police Commissioner K. Shankar, Indian Police Service, action is being taken against criminals who were involved in various series of crime incidents under the Gangster Prevention Act.
Subsequently, 68 robbers were involved in serial crime incidents in the areas under Avadi Police Commissionerate, 15 criminals were involved in robbery and theft cases. There are 24 accused in the drug case.
Avadi Police Commissioner K. Shankar has ordered the arrest of 114 criminals who have been involved in serial crime cases since January this year, including 4 criminals related to counterfeit market cases and 3 criminals related to internet crime cases.
In particular, in this month (July 2024) alone, 18 criminals who were involved in various series of criminal incidents in Avadi Police Commissionerate were arrested under the Anti-Hooliganism Act and were detained in Kuzhal Central Jail yesterday.
