Banduvarpatti Fire Factory Accident Virudhunagar firecracker factory accident: 3 killed!

In Virudhunagar district, firecracker factory explosions are continuing. Casualties are also being reported.

This morning an unexpected explosion occurred in a firecracker factory at Bandhuwarpatti near Chatur in Virudhunagar district. 4 people died in this accident.

Inquiring into this, the accident occurred while mixing chemicals for making firecrackers at the Guru Star Fire Works plant in Bandhuwarpatti this morning.

In this four persons namely Mariswamy, Ram Kumar, Mohan and Selvakumar died on the spot.

After getting information about the accident, fire engines rushed from the Seven Thousand Farm. Firefighters engaged in firefighting and rescue operations,” they said.

It is said that the plant is owned by Sahadeva from Achankulam and was operating under a TRO license.

The 15-room plant has three rooms on the ground floor. Chatur taluk police and revenue officials have reached the spot and are investigating.
