BSP leader Armstrong Murder Jayakumar Criticize DMK Govt : No security for political leaders.. how about common people?

Armstrong, the state president of the Bahujan Samaj Party, was hacked to death while standing in front of his house last night. The incident of the assassination of the state president of a national party has shaken the capital. Eight people, including the younger brother of Arkadu Suresh, have surrendered to the police, and intensive investigation is being conducted against them. They have confessed that they committed the murder as a revenge for Argad Suresh’s murder.

In this context, Armstrong’s body has been kept at the Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital, Chennai for post-mortem examination. While the party is seeking permission to bury his body at the Bahujan Samaj Party office, it is said that permission has not been received so far. In this context, former minister Jayakumar on behalf of AIADMK paid tribute to Armstrong’s body.

Later speaking to the media, Jayakumar said, “The brutal murder of Armstrong is shocking. The spate of murders is testimony to the breakdown of law and order in Tamil Nadu. If there is no security for the leader of a party, how is the security for the common people?
It is not known that Chief Minister M. K. Stalin, who is in charge of the Home Department, called the police officers and held a consultation or issued orders regarding the prevention of mercenary killings. What if political assassinations are carried out by mercenaries and continue? DMK is sleeping because if anyone goes, what will happen to us? This has created an environment where political leaders are killed.

What is the intelligence department doing when the political party leader is at risk? This murder could have been prevented if the Intelligence Service had been fully functioning. But the chief minister who is in charge of the home department did not care about it and the intelligence department officials did not care about it and the brutal massacre took place.

At least after this, the violence of the mercenaries should be reduced and political party leaders should be given due protection,” he said.
