Election2024 : Prime Minister Modi has challenged the Congress to give an assurance that it will not change reservation on religious grounds.
As the parliamentary elections are taking place across the country, political leaders are actively engaged in election campaign work. Political leaders do not fail to criticize other party leaders and respond to their criticisms.
Now the issue of seat reservation between Congress and BJP is intensifying. Earlier Congress in their election manifesto will definitely conduct a caste wise census. Through it, they assured that a change in reservation will be brought to suit the economically backward community.
The BJP leaders who have been criticizing this strongly, are presenting their criticisms that the Congress is trying to take away the reservation illegally. Addressing the election campaign meeting held in Gujarat yesterday, Prime Minister Modi once again presented his criticisms of the Congress.
He then said that as long as he is there, he will never allow the reservation given to SC/ST, OBC, EWS to be disturbed. He mentioned that the BJP-led government will protect the reservation and uphold their rights.
Similarly, we will not abuse reservation in the name of religion. We say we will not play with the Constitution by changing the reservation. Likewise, Prime Minister Modi said, “I challenge the Congress and INDIA alliance parties to confirm this in writing.”
I challenge the Congress and its allies not to change the political system to give reservation to minorities (Muslims) on religious grounds. In 2024 they are lying more and more. They are misrepresenting the Constitution of India to the people. They are spreading fake videos saying that we (BJP) will cancel reservation.
Congress is trying to give reservation to Muslims in the name of religion. I say it again. We will not change the reservation for SC/ST, OBC classes as per Ambedkar’s political system. In his campaign speech in Gujarat, Prime Minister Modi mentioned that reservation will be preserved under BJP rule.
