The Coimbatore Cybercrime Police has registered a case against popular YouTuber Chavku Shankar for defaming female police officers on his Red Pigs YouTube channel. He was later arrested and lodged in Coimbatore Central Jail. After that, action was taken under the Anti-Hooligan Act.
In this case Yasmin, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Musiri, Trichy District, He filed a complaint with the Trichy District Cyber Crime Police. Based on this, the Trichy District Computer Division Police registered a case under Section 5 against Chavku Shankar and Felix Gerald, Editor-in-Chief of Red Pigs Channel, who aired his interview.
Subsequently, the Trichy Cyber Crime Police arrested Chavku Shankar, who was lodged in the Coimbatore Central Jail. After the police custody today, he was taken to the government hospital and after a medical examination, the police again produced him in the court at 04:00 pm today.
