Tata Motors has previewed the performance-focused Ultraz Racer Edition. Also, the company has announced that this new model will be launched in the Indian automobile market in June. Tata has used a 1.2-litre turbo-charged petrol engine in this model, which will compete with Hyundai’s i20 N-Line.

This engine is capable of producing 118hp of power and 170Nm of torque. Also, this engine is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. China-based electric car manufacturer BYD has started delivery of its electric sedan in India. Launched in March last year, bookings for the electric car crossed 1000 units recently. Also, this electric sedan, which has been launched at a price of Rs.41 lakh to Rs.53 lakh, has been received more than expected in India. BYD has now delivered 200 units on its first day of delivery.

This BYD electric sedan model is sold with three different battery packs. The sedan has a dual motor setup with a maximum range of 650 km. 10.25 inch digital instrument cluster, 15.6 inch touchscreen, dual zone climate control, heads up display are provided. Skoda has stopped bookings for its Kodiaq SUV in India. Also, Skoda has decided to stop selling the current generation of this model. The company has decided to launch the second generation Kodiaq SUV by the end of this year. Therefore, Skoda had announced an offer of up to Rs 2.40 lakh to quickly sell the remaining current generation models. Following this, this announcement has now been released.

Skoda launched the second generation Kodiaq model in the international market in October last year. The company is going to release it in India by the end of this year. While this next generation Kodiaq model will be sold in CBU (Completely Built Unit) mode, it is expected that the model will be released in India at a price of Rs.40 lakh.

The Mahindra XUV 3XO has been launched in India in nine variants priced between Rs 7.49 lakh and Rs 15.49 lakh. Hyundai sets up 180kW supercharger in Chennai:

Hyundai has set up a 180kW high-speed charger at Spencer Plaza Mall in Anna Salai, Chennai to enable customers to charge at high speed. This high-speed charger has 150kW and 30kW connectors to benefit all types of electric car customers, not just the specific brand. To improve the electric vehicle infrastructure in Tamil Nadu, the company is planning to set up 100 high-speed public chargers across Tamil Nadu. It is to be noted that at such charging stations, charges are charged at Rs 18 per unit for charging with a 30kW charger and Rs 21 per unit for charging with a 60kW charger.
