So Mohan Raja planned to direct Thani Oruvan 2 after its huge success. Accordingly, it was already announced that AGS is going to produce this film. And recently there were reports that Abhishek Bachchan is going to play Jayam Ravi as the villain and the shooting will start by the end of this year. 
But the current information is that when the next phase of Thani Oruvan 2 was discussed, Mohan Raja said that the budget for Thani Oruvan 2 is 120 crores. There is a new update that the production company heard this and has postponed the shooting due to the high budget of both Jayam Ravi and Mohan Raja’s current market.
So, in the meantime, many reports are circulating on social media that Mohan Raja is going to direct a new film with Chiranjeevi and Ajith is going to direct a new film. However, who is the hero in Mohan Raja’s next film? It remains to be seen.
