People belonging to various parties are also protesting that a CBI investigation is needed on behalf of the opposition parties. This has created a huge stir in Tamil Nadu.
Demonstration on behalf of DMD
In spite of this, a protest demonstration is being held across Tamil Nadu on behalf of the DMUDIKA, condemning the Tamil Nadu government for failing to stop the Kallakurichi smuggling deaths and calling for a CBI investigation into the matter.

As a part of it, a protest demonstration was held today near the district collector’s office on behalf of the Trichy District Democratic Party. Santhosh Kumar, deputy secretary of DMD Bar Association, condemned the protest.
More than a hundred people participated
In this demonstration led by North District Secretary Kumar, Student District Secretary Ganesh South District Secretary Bharathidasan and more than a hundred DMDK members participated in the demonstration and raised slogans against the DMK government. Many DMD officials of Trichy district also participated in this demonstration.
