Varanasi: Winning 3rd term in a row in a democracy is not uncommon. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said it was a rare feat.
A program to pay Rs 20 thousand crore as subsidy to the bank accounts of farmers across the country was held in Varanasi today. Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the event and said:
Goddess Ganga, who makes Varanasi prosperous, carries me in her lap. That is why I have become a part of Varanasi. So the people of Varanasi will never abandon me. The people of Varanasi did not just elect me as MP for the 3rd term. They have chosen and sent him as the Prime Minister of this country.
Generally, winning 3 consecutive elections in democracies is not uncommon. It cannot even be called an achievement. It must be said that it is a rare achievement. BJP has got that honor due to the blessings of Indian people. By the grace of Goddess Ganga, I have come to Varanasi and India for the 3rd time to serve.
Thank you for your trust in me. I am going to work day and night for you. I will take all steps to fulfill your dreams. Narendra Modi spoke thus.
