Delhi: There were many complaints of malpractice in the NEET exam held this year for undergraduate medical courses. In response to this, the central government has set up a 7-member committee.

The central government has now set up a committee headed by ex-ISRO chief Radhakrishnan to look into improving the national examination board and conducting fair and transparent examinations.

The National Examinations Agency (NTA) has come under heavy criticism for the NEET exam rigging. A case was filed against this selection in the Supreme Court. Following this, it was announced that the NET examination (NET) would be canceled due to complaints of malpractice.

After the central government announced that the NDA system will be investigated and steps will be taken to improve it after it came under criticism, now the central government has set up a 7-member committee headed by former ISRO chief Radhakrishnan to examine the examinations conducted by the NDA.

The panel is expected to submit recommendations to the Ministry of Education within two months on reform of the examination process, improvement in data protection protocols and structure and functioning of the National Examination Agency.
