At a press conference held today (09) at the Ministry of Tourism, Minister Harin Fernando has officially announced his resignation from his post.
All officials of the Ministry of Tourism, Land, Sports and Youth Affairs attended the press conference and the minister said this in their presence.
The minister mentioned here that accepting challenges is not a new thing in his life and he has done it when the country needed it.
The Minister expressed his special thanks to all the officers led by the Secretaries of the Ministries who have served the country well and helped the country out of this difficult situation.
Today (09) the High Court upheld the decision of the United People’s Power Party to remove Ministers Manusha Nanayakkara and Harin Benando from the membership of the party.
Harin Penando United People’s Power Party National List MP In addition to holding the position of Minister of Tourism, Lands, Sports and Youth Affairs, Manusha Nanayakkara was elected to Parliament from Galle district in the last parliamentary election, and he holds the position of Minister of Industry and Foreign Employment.
