The Chennai Meteorological Department has issued a notification, in which they have said that Tamil Nadu has been experiencing intermittent rain since the last few weeks due to the onset of southwest monsoon. And there is an upper atmospheric circulation over the southern parts of India.

Due to the upper atmospheric circulation, Tamil Nadu is likely to receive moderate rain till 10 am today, especially in Kanyakumari, moderate to heavy rain is likely from morning onwards.
