Chennai: Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soran has no interim bail. – Supreme Court order.

Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soran was arrested in January in an illegal money laundering case and is currently in judicial custody. He continued to challenge his arrest in the Supreme Court.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who was arrested in a similar case, was granted bail till June 1 as an interim relief by the Supreme Court. The bench also noted that this bail is being granted in view of the Lok Sabha election campaign. Citing the same judgment, interim relief was sought in the case of former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soran.

In this case, the enforcement department said that Arvind Kejriwal’s arrest and Soran’s arrest are not the same and Hemant Soran tried to destroy the witnesses during the trial.

Following this, the Supreme Court hearing the case today dismissed the petition against the arrest of Hemant Soran. Following this, the petition filed by Hemant Soran’s side was withdrawn.
