Hemant Soren assumed office as the CM of Jharkhand

Ranchi: Hemant Soran took office as the Chief Minister of Jharkhand at the State Governor’s House.

Hemant Soran was arrested by the enforcement department last January in the Nilamodi illegal money transfer case. Earlier, Soren had resigned as the Chief Minister of Jharkhand. He was replaced by senior JMM leader Sambhai Soren as Chief Minister with the support of coalition parties.

The Jharkhand High Court had granted bail to Hemant Soran last week in the case of Hemant Soran’s arrest saying there was insufficient evidence. Following this, Sambhai Soran submitted his resignation letter to Jharkhand Governor CP Radhakrishnan yesterday.

Later, today, Hemant Soran met the governor along with the alliance party leaders demanding the right to form the government again. Following this, it was announced that Hemant Soran’s acceptance of office will be held at 5 pm today.

As reported, Governor CP Radhakrishnan administered the oath of office to Hemant Soran at the Governor’s House in Ranchi today. Hemant Soran took office as the Chief Minister of Jharkhand for the 3rd time.
