The first crew test flight of the much-anticipated Boeing Starliner was aborted at the last minute due to a technical glitch. NASA has announced that the space shuttle will be suspended for the next 24 hours due to a sudden technical problem with the spacecraft.
Indian-origin astronaut Sunita Williams’ third trip to the International Space Station has been postponed. The Boeing Starliner’s first crewed flight test mission involved Williams, 58, and NASA astronaut Barry “Butch” Wilmore, 61, to the International Space Station to test the Boeing Starliner’s suitability for carrying humans.
The space shuttle was scheduled to launch at 8:04 AM IST today. However, the launch of the Atlas V rocket has been delayed due to a valve problem in the 2nd stage. The launch was aborted with less than two hours to go.
The next launch is said to be tomorrow. However, there is no official information from NASA.
